DigitalGlobe Inc. Awarded NIMA Contract for Satellite Imagery

DigitalGlobe Inc., Longmont, Colo., was awarded a $96,000,000 firm-fixed-price contract and indefinite-delivery indefinite-quantity contract with a minimum guarantee for and a ceiling of $500,000,000. The Clearview contract requires commercial data providers to delivery high-resolution satellite imagery to National Imagery and Mapping (NIMA) over a three-year period. The competition was among current commercial satellite imagery vendors that could provide commercial imaging satellites with nominal (nadir) ground sampling distances equal to or less than one meter for panchromatic sensors. The guaranteed minimum imagery purchases will be funded with FY03 O&M Funding. Obligation of out-year funds will be awarded subject to availability. The National Imagery and Mapping Agency, Washington, D.C. is the contracting activity (NMA301-03-C-0001).
