Commercial Spaceflight Federation Welcomes Three New Associate Members

Washington, D.C., Tuesday, January 24, 2012 — The Commercial Spaceflight Federation is pleased to announce that three more companies have joined the Commercial Spaceflight Federation as Associate Members: Arkyd Astronautics, Logyx LLC, and NIAR.

Alex Saltman, CSF Executive Director, said, “We are thrilled to be able to welcome these three new Associate Members to the Commercial Spaceflight Federation. It’s a testament to the continued growth of the commercial spaceflight industry as our organization continues to expand.”

Brief descriptions of each company follow:

– Arkyd Astronautics develops technology and systems to enable low-cost commercial robotic exploration of the solar system. (www.arkyd.com)

– Logyx LLC, located near NASA’s Ames Research Center in Silicon Valley, provides services including systems engineering and integration, mission operations, information technology and system security, health and biological sciences, project management, media design, and proposal writing. – The National Institute for Aviation Research (NIAR), located in Wichita, Kansas, supports the aerospace industry by providing research, development, testing, and certification services to manufacturers, government agencies, and education entities. (www.niar.twsu.edu)
