Capitol Hill Briefing Will Discuss U.S. Leadership in Space

Astronauts Mark Kelly and David Williams will join other top experts in panel event

WASHINGTON – A group of leading space and defense experts will brief Congressional members and staff on the importance of U.S. leadership in space at a panel event open to accredited reporters. The retirement of the space shuttle this year has injected uncertainty into the future direction of U.S. space travel. Panelists will discuss the choices confronting Congress and the U.S. agencies charged with ensuring that the country’s space program continues to meet all commercial, defense and scientific objectives.

This event will bring together some of the leading lights in politics and policy as it pertains to the aerospace industry.
