Canadian Astronaut Chris Hadfield Trains at the Canadian Space Agency

Saint-Hubert, 22 September 2000 – The Canadian Space Agency (CSA) invites
media representatives to meet Canadian astronaut Col. Chris Hadfield on
Monday, September 25, at the John H. Chapman Space Centre in Saint-Hubert,
Quebec.

Col. Hadfield will spend a week at the CSA in order to take part in a
training session on the Space Station Remote Manipulation System (SSRMS),
the next-generation Canadarm and Canada’s contribution to the International
Space Station. The SSRMS will be installed on the International Space
Station during Col. Hadfield’s upcoming space mission, STS-100, next April.

Media representatives will have the opportunity to see Col. Hadfield operate
the SSRMS simulator, and interview the Canadian astronaut.
