Aviation Greats Unite in Cleveland for Flight Centennial

Aviation greats Jim Lovell, Gene Kranz,
John Glenn and the U.S. Navy Blue Angels will arrive Labor Day weekend in
Cleveland to celebrate the 100th year of powered flight.

NASA pioneers Jim Lovell and Gene Kranz will deliver a first-hand account
of the Apollo 13 mission detailing the harrowing experience felt by those on
the ground and the astronauts in space at the 2003 Centennial of Powered
Flight Gala presented by Parker Hannifin. The gala kicks off the Air Show
weekend, August 29, at the Renaissance Hotel in Downtown Cleveland.

The Cleveland National Air Show Charitable Foundation, NASA Glenn Research
Center and Parker Hannifin Corp. are hosting the black-tie gala. Honorary Co-
chairs are retired Senator John Glenn and Cleveland Mayor Jane Campbell.
Individual tickets for this extraordinary event are $300 and must be purchased
by August 22.

Kranz then assumes his role as the grand marshal of the 2003 Cleveland
National Air Show presented by Discount Drug Mart on Labor Day weekend August
30, 31, and September 1. Clevelander, World War II hero and two-time winner of
the Thompson Trophy at the National Air Races, Cook Cleland also will be on
hand. The Air Show features the re-creation of Classic Air Racing, Brian Shul,
pilot of the SR-71, and the raw power of the U.S. Navy Blue Angels.

General Admission tickets are $14 in advance and $16 at the gate for
adults. General Admission tickets for children ages 6 to 11 are $12 in
advance and $14 at the gate. General Admission is free for children 5 and
younger. A General Admission Wristband for all three days is available in
advance, through the Air Show box office, for $27. General Admission patrons
can bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on and watch the show.

A Box Seat ticket includes a reserved seat and is $18 per person
regardless of age and are only available through the Air Show Box Office.
