Association of Space Explorers seeks candidates for the position of Executive Director

ASE-USA is seeking candidates for the position of Executive Director for an international nonprofit professional association of astronauts and cosmonauts. Duties include fundraising and administration of association finances, program development, member recruitment and services, public and media outreach, astronaut appearances, member database management, corporate member solicitation and retention, coordination of annual symposia, website development and management and liaison with international executive committee. Some domestic and international travel required.

Candidates should meet the following minimum requirements:

-US citizen

-Undergraduate degree (graduate degree preferred)

-Basic proficiency in Russian

-Management/leadership experience

-Financial management skills

-Facility with the Macintosh platform and software (Pagemaker, Excel, Word, Photoshop, Frontpage, MYOB)

-Ability to travel internationally

-Self-motivated/ability to work without direct supervision

-Familiarity with human space flight history, activities and personnel
