Arianespace has completely revamped
its website to integrate the latest multimedia technologies for easier
websurfing by both space industry professionals and space enthusiasts.

On August 1st, the Arianespace website (http://www.arianespace.com ) went
to a full-screen format, ensuring easier readability and navigation.

The Website’s Video Corner section also makes its easier to watch launches
live from the Spaceport in French Guiana or to check out video clips from
previous missions. By combining Flash MX technology with an improved 200 kbps
rate, Arianespace offers higher quality video images. The website is
optimized for Explorer 4 or Netscape 6.2 and the Video Corner runs under Real
Player 8 or Windows Media Player.

Arianespace’s general website is in English to reach the largest
international audience; the corporate website in French provides a company
overview and also offers these improved viewing and navigation features.

August 27, 2002: The 13th Ariane 5 launch live on full screen

Arianespace Flight 155 is scheduled to lift off from Kourou during the
night of August 27 to 28. An Ariane 5 will orbit two satellites: the Atlantic
Bird(TM) 1 communications satellite built by Alenia Spazio for Eutelsat; and
the MSG-1 weather satellite for Eumetsat.

The Video transmissions over the Internet will use the full screen format,
providing all the excitement of the final countdown, liftoff and satellite
separation. The Flight 155 webcast on http://www.arianespace.com starts at
22:10 GMT on August 27 (10:10 p.m. local time at the Spaceport in French
Guiana; 6:10 p.m. U.S. East Coast Time; and 12:10 a.m. local Paris time on
August 28).

The Media Corner: An information source for journalists

The Media Corner is reserved for media representatives. It provides
practical information (news updates, Kourou Media Guide, etc.) on Arianespace
operations and business. By signing up for access to the Media Corner,
journalists also can receive updates via e-mail on Arianespace’s upcoming
missions and other company developments.

Arianespace calls on two seasoned professionals for its website:

* The InfoWEST Group, the webmaster;

* Streaming Box, for encoding of video streams and production of the
Video Corner.
