Analytical Graphics, Inc. (AGI), producer of the Satellite Tool Kit® (STK) software suite, announced today
that it has partnered with Satellite Software, Inc. to resell SATSOFT, a
satellite antenna design software tool.
SATSOFT (formerly CPLAN) is used by
satellite antenna design engineers to quickly develop shaped beam and
multi-beam antenna designs, assess antenna coverage and gain, conduct antenna
trade studies, and perform other payload engineering tasks.

“The addition of SATSOFT to our product offerings truly expands our
satcomm solution,” says Francesco Linsalata, AGI vice president of marketing.
“Antenna design and analysis is very attractive to our customers and prospects
involved in satellite communications and complements our current STK/Comm
module.”

“Partnering with AGI expands our market to a group of professionals who
can truly benefit from SATSOFT,” says Satellite Software Inc. president
Kenneth Sherman.
“The combination of SATSOFT and STK enables the spacecraft
designer to tackle even greater challenges than before.
Many of our customers
were already using STK, so it was a logical next step to work with AGI.”

Satellite Software Inc. specializes in antenna design software tools for
the communications satellite industry.
SATSOFT represents more than 10 years
of development effort and is used by spacecraft manufacturers, operators, and
consultants worldwide.

Malvern, PA-based AGI provides commercial off-the-shelf analysis and
visualization software solutions to more than 25,000 aerospace industry
professionals through its core product Satellite Tool Kit® (STK) and a
series of specialized STK add-on modules.
STK is available free of charge to
all aerospace professionals.

Basic applications include calculating and visualizing a vehicle’s
position and attitude, determining acquisition times, and analyzing the
spacecraft’s field of view.
The key functions of STK can be extended with
add-on modules that support specialized analyses, including coverage
assessment, maneuver planning, orbit determination, real-time visualization,
collision avoidance and detailed communication link analysis.
