Aitech, a leading provider of rugged board and system level solutions for military, aerospace and space applications, is presenting “SmallSats Get Big Boost from Reliable, Cost-effective COTS in Space” during the virtual 2021 SmallSat Conference, from August 7-12 at Utah State University, Logan, Utah.

Key Events During the Conference:

SmallSats Get Big Boost from Reliable, Cost-effective COTS in Space

  • Live 30-minute webinar with Q&A: August 9 at 9:30 am PDT
  • Interactive Chat Room via Zoom: August 9-12 from 9 am to 4 pm PDT
  • Poster Presentation: available on-demand for the duration of the conference

Pratish Shah, General Manager at Aitech US, noted, “With the growing demand for space digital electronics used in LEO and NEO orbits, Aitech is developing a level of cost-effective, reliable COTS solutions that bridge the gap between costly NASA EEE compliant parts and those that can be effectively used for lower orbits and short duration space flights. We’re excited to launch these industry standard Series 300 COTS products that are perfectly suited for LEO and NEO orbits.”

Aitech is unveiling the latest in AI GPGPU-based space technologies during the 2021 SmallSat virtual exhibit. The company is focused on bringing COTS solutions to commercial and government space systems for reliable system operation in next-generation low earth orbit (LEO) and near earth orbit (NEO) space applications, including small satellite clusters and constellations.

Anthony Lai, Business and R&D Director for Space at Aitech, commented, “With more commercial and private companies contributing to the development of space programs, Aitech is focusing on providing the most advanced electronics at a lower time-to-market and cost-of-entry to help fuel the space industry’s growing application areas.”

On exhibit will be Aitech’s new radiation-characterized S-A1760 Venus™ Space AI GPGPU, bringing the processing power of parallel processing to in-orbit applications. The S-A1760 Venus is an adaptation of the company’s successful A176 Cyclone, an NVIDIA®-based AI SFF supercomputer, and offers the same 256 CUDA cores with up to 1 TFLOPS of processing using the NVIDIA Jetson™ TX2i system-on-module (SoM). The new S-A1760 Venus is designed specifically to meet the Series 300 level qualification parameters to ensure AI GPGPU reliable operation in LEO, NEO and short duration space flights.
