AIA Welcomes Signing of Budget Deal, Urges Passage of FY2020 Appropriations

With the President’s signature on a two-year budget deal, the government has taken a critical step towards providing the resources necessary to achieve America’s ambitious agenda for the future. We welcome efforts by Congress and the Administration to reach and lock in this agreement. But this step alone won’t guarantee the funding we need to go back to the moon, bolster aviation innovation and safety, or ensure our military is the best equipped in the world.

Moving forward, we must avoid continuing resolutions that undercut our industry’s ability to plan for the future. Congress and the President must do everything they can to ensure American economic success and security by passing FY2020 appropriations bills that fully fund the federal government by the September 30 deadline.
