The Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) will be joining the National Air and Space Museum’s Apollo 50 Festival on the National Mall July 18-20. AIA will be featuring our augmented reality mural, “Vision 2050: The Way to What’s Next,” to showcase the innovations the aerospace and defense industry will bring about in the next 30 years as we look ahead to what’s next for America. The Apollo 50 Festival will be held between 4th and 7th streets on the Mall – AIA’s mural will be near the stage at the center of the Festival.

Viewers will be able to link to an interactive experience through their cell phones and see future developments in drone delivery, supersonic travel, and space tourism against the backdrop of the national monuments. Join us as we celebrate past achievements and look ahead to the future – and be sure to share your experience with your friends via social media!

The Apollo 11 Moon landing is the greatest technological achievement in human history; AIA is proud to take part in the 50th anniversary celebrations. The National Air and Space Museum has a full slate of activities and events, from the return to display of Neil Armstrong’s space suit from the Apollo 11 mission to a series of films, exhibits and hands on activities.
