This year, a.i. solutions celebrates its 20th anniversary of serving American defense and civilian space agencies. From its simple beginnings automating maneuver planning for NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) missions, a.i. solutions has grown to more than 400 employees nationwide.

“Since we launched in 1996, our goal has always been to exceed customer expectations,” said Bob Sperling, president and CEO of a.i. solutions. “Reaching this 20-year milestone proves that we have an outstanding product and a remarkable team that collectively deliver results. I am extremely proud of where we have been and where we are going.”

a.i. solutions began as a small contingent of experts in orbital mechanics and flight dynamics. In 1997, they introduced FreeFlyer®, a commercial-off-the-shelf astrodynamics tool for space mission analysis and operations, currently used by NASA, NOAA, and USAF satellite missions. a.i. solutions went on to lend their expertise to the expendable launch vehicle and missile defense arena, and now provides space mission engineering, missile defense systems assurance, launch vehicle services, and cyber and information assurance for numerous programs and agencies including GSFC, Kennedy Space Center (KSC), Peterson Air Force Base, Missile Defense Agency, NOAA, NASA Headquarters, Johnson Space Center, the Department of Defense (DoD) Joint Space Operations Center (JSpOC), National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) Office of Space Launch (OSL), Vandenberg Air Force Base and more.

a.i. solutions has received numerous awards, including the 2010 and 2014 NASA Agency Small Business Prime Contractor of the Year award. Headquartered in Lanham, Md., the company also has offices in Cape Canaveral, Fla., Colorado Springs, Co., Houston, Tx. and Huntsville, Ala.
