Paul Graziani, CEO and co-founder of Analytical Graphics, Inc. (AGI), was awarded top honors for workforce excellence at the Aviation Week and Space Technology 2012 Laureate Awards in Washington, D.C., last evening.

The Laureate Awards recognize individuals and teams for their extraordinary accomplishments. According to Aviation Week, Graziani was selected for demonstrating leadership in introducing young people to the world of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM), including providing software licensing to educational institutions.

AGI actively supports STEM education with events as wide-ranging as hosting Space Day, Techie’s Day, rocket day, high-school career days and a Federation of Galaxy Explorers’ team. AGI’s Educational Alliance Program also provides AGI software to eligible high schools, colleges, universities, military training institutions and nonprofit educational groups. The program currently serves approximately 250 academic institutions.

“Now that Av Week has recognized us in this way, we are even more obligated to keep doing what we can to promote STEM to young people. It’s our responsibility to the kids and to our future,” says Graziani.

AGI has been honored for its workplace and leadership by The Wall Street Journal, the Great Place to Work Institute, the Philadelphia Inquirer, Companies that Care, Executive Excellence, the Pennsylvania Psychological Association and Philadelphia Magazine. AGI’s augmented reality app, Satellite AR, was also a finalist in the software category of Aviation Week’s Innovation Challenge.
