Abacus Technology Corporation, headquartered in Chevy Chase, Maryland, received the Small Business Prime Contractor of the Year Award for 2009 from NASA Kennedy Space Center (KSC). The firm was recognized for providing outstanding services to KSC on the Information Management and Communications Support (IMCS) contract at the second annual NASA Small Business Symposium and Awards Ceremony held at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel & Conference Center on November 17th 2009.

Specifically, the firm furnishes personnel, equipment, and supplies to support voice communications; visual imaging; launch timing, transmission, and cable systems; administrative phones; IT security; publications management; and institutional computer/network services.

Abacus Technology has been a world-wide provider of state-of-the-art information technology and communication services for more than 25 years. Following award announcement, Dennis J. Yee, President of Abacus Technology Corporation, stated: “It is truly an honor to be involved in our nations’ space exploration program, directly supporting NASA’s Shuttle Program and transition to the Constellation Program.”
