Firefly Aerospace accomplished a rare feat on Saturday, October 1, 2022 when it reached orbit on only its second launch. And not only did they reach orbit, but it also they successfully deployed the three satellites onboard.

In a Tweet firefly said the “3 payloads have been deployed successfully, and customers have confirmed acquisition of signal.”

After several years of growing pains including ownership and management changes it appears Firefly has impressively put itself on the right track to becoming a credible launch provider joining a small but growing list of US launch providers.
