Evolution Space, a solid propulsion and launch provider based in Mojave, California, has signed a deal with NASA Stennis and started building the first-ever solid propulsion center at the NASA Stennis Space Center in southern Mississippi. The new Evolution Space Propulsion Center will repurpose the former Mississippi Army Ammunition Plant facilities that NASA acquired in 2011. The center will be home to the company’s 200-gallon propellant mixer, provide propellant storage for its launch vehicles, and serve as an operational base for static fire testing using the E-3 Test Complex, the first solid rocket motor tests at the complex, expected to start in mid-2024.
