The image shows the blanket of snow that stretches from the Midwest across to New England after a massive winter storm moved over the region on January 1-3, 2014. Many areas received up to or over a foot of snow, and the National Weather Service is warning that another system is moving across the Plains with the potential to bring more snow to the Midwest and Great Lakes regions on January 4th.
