One of the Expedition 37 crew members aboard the International Space Station took this night photograph on Sept. 25 featuring the northern California region including San Francisco and San Francisco Bay on the west coast, San Jose to the southeast, Modesto and Stockton near the Sierra Nevada to the east, and Oakland to the northeast. Several other cities and communities can be delineated, as well.
