With a list uplinked to the station from the ground, the Expedition 7 crew continued unloading and transferring cargo from the newly arrived Progress 12 cargo vehicle. The Inventory Management System was used to keep track of transfer and stowage details.

Flight Engineer Ed Lu took sound level measurements at 41 different locations throughout the Station. Lu then transferred the noise data to a medical equipment computer.

Commander Yuri Malenchenko participated in Russian medical research studying body fluids in microgravity and prepared for a blood test on Wednesday. With help from the ground the commander also swapped components on a telemetry measurement system between the Service Module and the Zarya Control Module.

On Sept. 4, the crew captured an image of Hurricane Fabian as it churned in the Atlantic Ocean. On the next day, Fabian would wreak havoc on the island of Bermuda.
