ESA TV Service transmissions in week 10 March 2003
The ESA TV Service transmissions in the week of 10 March 2003 are focusing on the ESA Science Programme.
That week’s issue of the scientific journal Nature will publish an important discovery made with an ESA/NASA spacecraft. A B-roll with the new 3-D computer graphics and images needed to cover the story on television will be transmitted immediately after the expiry of the story embargo imposed by Nature, on 11 March, with a replay on 12 March.
On 5 March 2003, ESA’s first deep space ground station was inaugurated in New Norcia, in Australia. It will support ESA’s planetary missions, for example Mars Express scheduled for launch in May/June 2003. An ESA TV Exchange transmitted on 14 March, with replays on 14 and 15 March, will cover this story.
