On Friday 24 January 2003 the ESA TV Service will play out 2 transmissions
as follows:

1) STS-107 Flight Day 8 Highlights 05:00 – 05:20 GMT

The ESA TV Service rebroadcasts the daily flight highlights of the current
Space Shuttle research mission, STS-107, in time for breakfast news.

Satellite Parameters:

  • Atlantic Bird 1 (12.5 degrees West)
  • Transponder B1, channel 2 (MPEG-2 MCPC), horizontal
  • F= 11014.17 MHz, SR = 20.150 MS/sec, FEC = 3/4,

2) Earth Views: The Global Eye 10:15 – 10:30 GMT

In recognition of the upcoming first anniversary of the launch of Envisat on
28 February, the ESA TV Service retransmits a series of programmes on Earth
Views. The first in the series outlines how Earth Observation satellites
can transmit amazing images of our planet and help scientists better
understand geographic processes. This programme has been updated since its
first transmission with some recent images from Envisat’s ASAR and MERIS
instruments.

Replay I: 24 January, 19:45-20:00 GMT

Replay II: 25 January, 10:15-10:30 GMT

The programme comprises of a 7 minute A-Roll with split audio and is
complimented by a B-Roll with clean international sound.

The script will be available as of the day of transmission on-line as a PDF
document under http://television.esa.int/photos/EbS27975.pdf

This ESA TV Exchanges feed is transmitted by the European Commission’s
“Europe by Satellite” (EbS) service. You can find the complete transmission
