MISSION STS-107 -SPACEHAB/FREESTAR MICROGRAVITY RESEARCH MISSION

Shuttle Processing Note: This morning at 7:30 a.m., Shuttle Columbia began
its 3.4-mile roll out to Pad 39-A in preparation for its launch scheduled
for Jan. 16 on the Spacehab microgravity research mission. After the Shuttle
reaches the pad, the Rotating Service Structure will be extended around
Columbia to protect against any possible damage from approaching storms.
Tomorrow morning, the RSS will be retracted in order to perform an Auxiliary
Power Unit hot fire.
MISSION STS-114 — 17TH ISS FLIGHT (ULF1) – CREW ROTATION/MULTI-PURPOSE LOGISTICS MODULE

Shuttle Processing Note: Atlantis continues to be processed for its March
launch to the International Space Station. Preparations for Space Shuttle
Main Engine installation are in work, with installation scheduled to begin
tomorrow. Auxiliary Power Unit leak and
functional tests are complete.
MISSION STS-115 — 18th ISS FLIGHT (12A) ? P3/P4 SOLAR ARRAYS

- ORBITAL INSERTION ALTITUDE AND INCLINATION: 122 nautical miles/51.6 degrees
Shuttle Processing Note: Following Endeavour’s landing on Saturday, the
orbiter was towed into a processing facility to begin its deservicing for
the STS-115 mission to the International Space Station scheduled in May
2003. Initial inspections of the orbiter show nominal damage of both the
Thermal Protection System tiles and the tires. Endeavour sustained 64 hits
to the tiles, with 13 hits being greater than one inch.
Payload Bay Doors will be opened tomorrow and heat shield removal is
scheduled for later this week.
ORBITER MAJOR MODIFICATION PERIOD VEHICLE: Discovery/OV-103
Shuttle Processing Note: The Orbiter Major Modification (OMM) period for
Discovery continues with Payload Bay Door structural inspections and a
radiator isolation modification. Wire inspections and repairs are ongoing.
