Recent Events:
Background Sequences – The spacecraft is operating nominally in performing the beta-supplement daily recording and transmission of science data. The mm219 sequence executed successfully from 02-290 (10/17/02) through 02-292 (10/19/02). The mm220 sequence has performed well since it started on 02-293 (10/20/02). It terminates on 02-296 (10/23/02). The mm221 sequence, successfully uplinked on 02-295 (10/22/02), begins executing near the end of day on 02-296 10/23/02).
Other – Eight Roll Only Targeted Observations (ROTOs) were performed successfully by the mz210 & mz211 minisequences. MGS has completed 354 ROTOs to date.
Spacecraft Health:
Spacecraft subsystems report good health and status.
Uplinks:
There have been 17 uplinks to the spacecraft during the past week, including new star catalog and ephemeris files, instrument command loads, the mz211 & mz212 ROTO mini-sequences, and the mm220 & mm221 background sequences. 7,127 command files have been radiated to the spacecraft since launch.
Upcoming Events:
ROTOs are planned for next week in the mz211, mz212, & mz213 mini-sequences. Radio Science Occultation Egress Scans are scheduled for 02-302 (10/29/02) and 02-303 (10/30/02). The DDOR experiment slipped one day to optimize DSN coverage. It is now scheduled for 02-305 (11/01/02).
