Recent Events:
Background Sequences – The spacecraft is operating nominally in performing the beta-supplement daily recording and transmission of science data. The mm213 sequence executed successfully from 02-269 (9/26/02) through 02-271 (9/28/02). The mm214 sequence has performed well since it started on 02-272 (9/29/02). It terminates on 02-275 (10/02/02). The mm215 sequence, successfully uplinked on 02-274 (10/01/02), begins executing near the end of day on 02-275 10/02/02).
Other – Nine Roll Only Targeted Observations (ROTOs) were performed successfully by the mz203, mz204, & mz205 minisequences. MGS has completed 322 ROTOs to date.
The Radio Science egress scans contained in the mz205 mini-sequence performed nominally. Radio Science Operations reported that the SNR at SPC-60 was lower than expected due to heavy rain, but all ten egress measurements were successfully acquired.
Spacecraft Health:
Spacecraft subsystems report good health and status.
Uplinks:
There have been 21 uplinks to the spacecraft during the past week, including new star catalog and ephemeris files, instrument command loads, the mz205 ROTO & Radio Science Egress Scan mini-sequence, the mz206 ROTO mini-sequence, and the mm214 & mm215 background sequences. 7,077 command files have been radiated to the spacecraft since launch.
Upcoming Events:
ROTOs are planned for next week in the mz206 & mz207 mini-sequences.
