Stage: 9A

Week 20

ISS:
Soyuz 5 launch has been tentatively set for Tuesday 10/30 GMT,. Docking
with the ISS should occur on Friday.

STS-113/11A is tentatively scheduled to launch on Monday, 11/11. Docking
with the ISS should occur on Wednesday.

Early today, the POIC successfully transitioned to an 11A database. Databases
onboard ISS were also successfully transitioned to 11A.

Payloads currently on-board ISS:
BSTC, CGBA, InSPACE, MAMS, MSG (facility), PFMI, PGBA, SAMS, STES-7, SUBSA
and ZCG.

Status:
MRPO payloads CGBA, MAMS, PGBA, SAMS, STES-7 and ZCG continue nominal,
basically unattended, operations. BSTC, InSpace, MSG, PFMI, and SUBSA
are currently inactive.

EXPRESS RACKS 1, 2 and 4 (ER1, ER2& ER4) are powered and supporting
payload operations. ER3 and ER5 are available to support payload operations
but are currently inactive.

CGBA was activated in ER4 yesterday in preparation for stowage of PGBA
plants after they are harvested. CGBA health and status data is nominal.

MAMS is operating nominally in the quasi-steady mode. HiRAP is currently
turned-off. MAMS data is available on the acceleration measurement web
page.

PGBA health and status data is nominal, however the planned downlink
of video from the PGBA internal cameras has not yet been successful. Trouble-shooting
procedures, involving the swapping of the data cable and then reconnecting,
have been added to the crew task list. Initial harvesting of PGBA plants
is scheduled for next week. At the locations where plants are harvested,
seeds will be planted to begin a second crop.

PFMI processing run (#7) is scheduled for Monday 10/28. A second run
(#8) has now been deleted due to the day earlier planned launch of SOYUZ
5. The PFMI hardware will be removed from the MSG and stowed on Wednesday,
10/31.

All SAMS sensors in EXPRESS Racks are operating nominally. The SAMS
sensor in the MSG is turned-off. SAMS data is also being posted to the
acceleration measurement web page.

STES-7 health and status data is nominal. All growth chambers have been
activated.

ZCG health and status data is nominal. The payload is scheduled to be
deactivated Monday, Oct. 28, after operating for approximately 15 days.

Near-term Outlook:

Week 20 (10/21-10/27) – Planning for this week was based on approximately
11 hours of crew time availability for NASA payload operations. All MRPO
payload planned activities for this week have been successfully accomplished.

Week 21 (10/28-11/02) – Preliminary planning for this week is being based
on approximately 20 hours of crew time availability for NASA payload operations.
ZCG will complete planned operations and be deactivated on Monday 10/28.
PGBA plants will be harvested and historical photographs will be taken.
one PFMI run is scheduled and the PFMI hardware will be stowed.
