The MSR is 2:00 PM today. The POP review with Code 420 is scheduled for April 15th.
Congratulation to the Raytheon, CSOC, and SGT team for their excellent performance on the UARS control center re-engineering effort. The work was completed in one quarter of the time and one quarter of the budget.
Paul would like a formal incident report from the Code 580 flight software branch.
Ken Dolan suggested that meeting attendees periodically check the ESMOS web page. This page is still in development, but contains several useful links, including the ESMOS activity calendar and the Top Ten Issues list.
Go to http://jupiter02.gsfc.nasa.gov/EsmoPvt/, then enter the user name and password announced at the previous meeting. If you do not have the user name and password, call Warren Case (301-614-5352) or Guy Cordier (301-614-5258) and they will provide this information. There are navigation links on the left of the page for action items, anomalies, calendar of activities, mission reports, the Top Ten, and others. Comments and suggestions are encouraged.
Discussion of ESMOS Top Ten Issues
The Mission System top ten issues were discussed by K. Dolan.
#1 FY03 budget – SOMO backing out of funding networks, institutional support and technology programs: No significant updates.
#2 Readiness of Ground Network to support Aqua: GN test is in progress; it is not going well. SKS has reported red for S-band data.
#3 Getting a contract in place to provide anomaly support from LMMS, SBRS, and L3COM: There have been a number of telecons; looking at alternatives for resolving contract issues.
#4 End of Mission planning for ERBS and UARS: Meeting set up with Phil to go over the probabilities of debris from ERBS remaining in orbit.
#5 USGS has not provided money to cover FY02 Landsat-7 network costs. NASA has not budgeted for this cost: Telecon was held this morning. Paperwork is on the way but it will still be some time before it arrives.
#6 Problem reprocessing ASTER data: (This item will be reworded). An anomaly team
is being set up. The team will first try to confirm the causes.
#7 DSMC transition: NCC and WOTIS operations are moving to WSC during 2002: We need to set the criteria for successful testing. There will be impacts to the firewall.
#8 System vulnerabilities: Recommendations will be coming out. The long term archiving issue for EMOS has been resolved.
#9 NACs: There is a reporting issue between our internal status and center status. Reports need to be better coordinated.
#10 Aqua Transition: No updates.
