The following activities were completed:
- Completed spin-up AMSR-E from 4 to 29 rpm.
- Began to dynamically balance the AMSR-E instrument.
- Uplinked the daily Master Command Loads and Ephemeris.
- Flight Dynamics provided an updated Ascent Plan. The next ascent burn is planned for June 5.
- Since the activation of the spacecrafts X-band communication equipment, several passes over Direct Broadcast stations have occurred. The stations at GSFC, the University of Wisconsin, Louisiana State University, and Seaspace at San Diego have reported successful reception of the downlink. Ground-Based Attitude Determination (GBAD) packets are currently present on the Direct Broadcast downlink.
The following activities are scheduled for the next 24 hours:
- Complete instrument recovery activities, including:
- Complete AMSR-E dynamic balancing
- Spin-up AMSR-E from 29 to 40 rpm
- Uplink the daily Master Command Loads and Ephemeris.
Aqua Spacecraft Status:
- Spacecraft State is currently Standby.
- GNC Mode is Fine Point Mode, HiFi Ephemeris.
Aqua Instrument Status:
- AIRS is in Standby state, Quiet bus is ON, Noisy bus is ON, Cryocooler is OFF with the Heater ON, Scan mirror rotating is OFF and earth shield is CLOSED.
- AMSR-E is in Modified Sleep mode, rotating at 29 RPM.
- AMSU A1 is Parked at the Warm Calibration Target position.
- AMSU A2 is Parked at the Warm Calibration Target position.
- CERES Aft is in Safe mode and the covers are CLOSED.
- CERES Fore is in Safe mode and the covers are CLOSED.
- HSB is in Survival mode and the antenna is in the Target position.
- MODIS is in Survival mode, Nadir Door is Unlatched and CLOSED, Solar Diffuser Door is Unlatched and CLOSED, and the Space View Door is Unlatched and CLOSED.
Activities Deferred:
- All further recovery activities have been postponed until completion of AMSR-E spin-up to 40 rpm.
Anomalies:
- Investigation into the cause of the transition to survival continues. The Electrical Power Subsystem continues to exhibit nominal state of health since the anomaly.
- The HSB team has determined there was no corruption of the initial science data produced during their power on last week.
