Summary For May 13-19
Space weather reached moderate levels due to geomagnetic storms.
Category G1 (minor) to G2 (moderate) geomagnetic storms occurred on May
14. Category G1 storm conditions also occurred during May 18 – 19
during a CME passage at Earth. Isolated category R1 (minor) radio
blackouts occurred on May 15 and 17 due to moderate-sized solar flares.
There were no solar radiation storms during the period. For a list of

Outlook For May 22-28
Space weather is expected to be at minor to moderate levels. There is a
chance for isolated category R1 (minor) to R2 (moderate) radio
blackouts during the period. There is a slight chance for category G1
(minor) geomagnetic storm conditions during May 23 – 25. There is also
a slight chance for a category S1 (minor) solar radiation storm during
the period.
