DESC: NASA/MSFC plans to issue a Draft Request for Proposal (RFP)
for MICROGRAVITY SCIENCE AND APPLICATIONS DEPARTMENT (MSAD)
SUPPORT CONTRACT FOR SYSTEMS DEVELOPMENT AND OPERATIONS SUPPORT
(SDOS)

The provisions and clauses in the RFP are those in effect
through FAC 97-27. The Government does not intend to acquire
a commercial item using FAR Part 12. See Note 26. The NAICS
Code and Size Standard are 541710 and 1000, respectively. The
DPAS rating for this procurement is DO-C9. It is anticipated
that the draft RFP 8-1-1-S4-D2615 will be released within the
next 2 weeks. The due date for receipt of industry comments
is approximately two weeks after release of the Draft RFP.

An industry briefing will be held at MSFC after the release
of the Draft RFP. A complete schedule along with instructions
for attending the industry briefing will be provided in the
Draft RFP. An ombudsman has been appointed. See NASA Specific
Note “B”. The solicitation and any documents related to this
procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents
will be in Microsoft Office 97 format and will reside on a
World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a
WWW browser application. The Internet site, or URL, for the

Prospective offerors shall notify this office of their intent
to submit an offer. It is the offeror’s responsibility to monitor
the Internet site for the release of the solicitation and amendments
(if any). Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading
their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any).
