The Satellite Industry Association (SIA) today announced that Globecomm has joined the Association as its latest member. Globecomm develops secure connectivity solutions to address customer issues across a broad spectrum of areas such as managed communication services — including mobile and IoT, media services and mission critical networks — and system design and integration. The company is known for its ability to provide robust connectivity to the most remote locations under the most treacherous conditions and with zero downtime, and recently announced further expansion of its Ku-band VSAT network in order to provide global coverage of all major maritime shipping routes.

“SIA is very pleased to welcome Globecomm as an Association member,” said Tom Stroup, President of SIA. “The Company’s deep satellite communications expertise, their ability to provide global connectivity solutions for commercial and government applications plus their seamless integration with other member solutions make them an invaluable member of SIA. We look forward to working with the Globecomm team on a number of SIA initiatives.”

“For us, it’s a welcome back home for rejoining SIA,” says Chief Executive Offer Jason Juranek. “We appreciate the unique forum it provides for members to share ideas and make decisions for their business as well as the advocating activities SIA does on behalf of the satellite industry, and are looking forward to being part of this community again.”
