NASA to Host Discussion About Research and Daily Life at the Poles

MOFFETT FIELD, Calif. – NASA Ames Research Center will host Polar-Palooza, ‘Stories from a Changing Planet,’ at 7 p.m. PDT on Friday, Oct. 26, 2007. News media representatives and the public are invited to this free event.

What: A team of six scientists and Arctic residents will discuss personal stories about conducting research and daily life at the Earth’s poles, supported by dramatic high-definition video footage and Internet resources. Polar-Palooza seeks to inspire diverse audiences across America to appreciate the many ways the rapidly changing Arctic and Antarctic affect the health and functioning of the entire Earth system.

When: 7 p.m. PDT, Friday, Oct. 26, 2007

Where: Building 943 at NASA Ames Research Center, Moffett Field, Calif.

To reach NASA Ames, take U.S. Highway 101 to the Moffett Field, NASA Parkway exit and drive east on towards the main gate and turn right at the stop sign. Building 943 is adjacent to the large white dome.
