Russian Progress Spacecraft Launched on Resupply Mission to the ISS

A much needed resupply mission to the International Space Station was successfully launched today from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. The Russian spacecraft is scheduled to dock with the space station Saturday at 6:31 p.m. EST.
The Progress 16 mission is bringing much needed supplies to the space station. In a recent space station on-orbit status report it was reported that the food supply would “last through 1/3/05.” While the water supply “run-out date is around 1/24-25/05.”
The resupply should provide enough fresh food for another 112 days.
