Crew-6 Manufactures Graphene Aerogel in Space, Where Gravity Won’t Ruin It

A new experiment on board the International Space Station aims to produce higher-quality graphene aerogel in microgravity conditions.
In late August, the SpaceX Crew-6 astronauts on the space station at that time finished work on an investigation co-led by Stanford University and the University of California, Berkeley. The goal was to produce a graphene aerogel, a light and high-density structure that can be used for numerous applications, in orbit to determine whether doing so is feasible and results in a better material than that manufactured in Earth gravity conditions.
