NOAA GOES SATOPS Morning Report 10 May 2001
POES
No change in the status of the POES spacecraft.
Original playback of G4B form NOAA-15 on rev 15533
was incomplete due to ground system problems at the Fairbanks CDA. A complete recovery was accomplished on rev 15534,
net result, 100 minute delay.
Additional testing of failed recorder 5B from
NOAA-16 continue to yield negative results.
POES operations were nominal over the past 24
hours.
DMSP
No change in the status of the DMSP spacecraft.
Completed OPS49 POPS Load and verification of
SCRUB flight software to Standard Control Processor 1 (SCP1). SCPs
now match. Software will continuously read,
check, and correct for At Least One (ALO) Errors to prevent extraneous
error flags. Precision Attitude Determination Software reset
in Non-Control SCP1.
DMSP operations were nominal over the past 24
hours.
GOES
No change in the status of the GOES spacecraft.
After frame breaks at 1726Z, 1745Z, and 1751Z
attributed to an unknown source and elevated BER the WCDA requested to switch GOES West operations from the Hurricane
Resistant Antenna #2 to Hurricane Resistant Antenna #1 to allow testing
on HR2. This was accomplished at 1836Z.
Subsequent to the switch at 0648Z GOES West experienced another frame break
this time attributed to Loss of Signal Sync.
GOES-East supported Rapid Scan Operations 129/1826Z-130/0126Z
GOES operations were nominal over the past 24
hours.
