Shuttle Processing Note: Shuttle orbiter Endeavour returned to KSC today at
about 2:09 p.m. EDT mounted atop NASA’s Shuttle Carrier Aircraft (SCA). The
orbiter/SCA combination completed a two-day transcontinental ferry flight
from Edwards Air Force Base, California.

The ferry flight departed Edwards Tuesday, May 8 at about 9:13 a.m. EDT.
After refueling at Altus Air Force Base in Oklahoma, the orbiter/SCA took
off at about 3:15 p.m. yesterday headed to Littlerock Air Force Base in
Arkansas. Endeavour arrived in Arkansas at about 4:22 p.m. EDT for an
overnight stay.

The final leg of the flight began today from Littlerock Air Force Base at
11:33 a.m. EDT and concluded with the SCA touching down on Shuttle Landing
Facility Runway 15. Endeavour will be demated from the SCA tonight and
transported to Orbiter Processing Facility bay 1 tomorrow morning to begin
processing for mission STS-108.

MISSION: STS-104 – 10th ISS Flight (7A) – Airlock

is required to repair the heads-up display (HUD) unit in the crew module.
The HUD provides visual alignment cues to Shuttle commanders and pilots
during approach and landing. To accommodate the unplanned HUD work, Atlantis
will now roll to the VAB Sunday, May 20 instead of May 16.

VAB to be mated to the STS-104 external tank and solid rocket boosters.
Columbia will then be transferred into OPF bay 3 to continue STS-109
preflight processing.
