The following items were presented:
- Hardware Integration Schedule — XA/Barbara Counts
There were no major updates to the schedule. The STS-104 (7A) Bench Review On-Dock has tentatively been moved to 5/1/01.
- PRACA Status — NS43/Terry Miller
Twelve FIAR’s are open for EVA hardware and are shown by flight as follows:

One FIAR was reported past due and was statused as follows:
JSCEC0852 — Equipment Hook. Bail Lever sticking (Bail Lever did not perform smoothly and did not stick open).
EC5/Roger Schwarz reported that Lockheed still hasn’t taken the hook apart. This is not the hook we are currently flying. Doing interims.
No new FIAR’s were reported.
No FIAR’s are open for STS-100 (6A).
STS-104 (7A) FIAR’s were statused as follows:
JSCEC0839 — REBA Charger. REBA failed to show green LED during acceptance testing.
EC5/ Hiep Nguyen will be going to the contractor (Summit) 5/4/01.
JSCEC0863F — Modular Gimbal Assy. End effector is sticking/not closing (STS-98 anomaly).
EC5/Roger Schwarz reported that he is getting more information from Oceaneering. There may be a "broke" in configuration control. Getting story.
BFCE026A024 — High Strength Bridge Clamp. Unlock push button will not extend.
EC5/Roger Schwarz reported the hardware is going through vibe testing this week.
STS-105 (7A.1) FIAR’s were statused as follows:
BFCE029F105 — Pistol Grip Tool (PGT). PGT Chatter.
EC5/Roger Schwarz reported this FIAR is still unexplained. The PGT will be shipped for MPLM Bench Review the end of the month. Interims will be written within the next 2 weeks. Hardware is to be left on-orbit.
The Chairman requested a note be added to the status to show dates interims are needed, shipping on open DR, etc.
The oldest FIAR, against the Adaptive Payload Carrier, is 589 days old.
- On-Orbit Limited Life Status — NA/Rod Toler

The On-Orbit Limited Life Status is to be presented the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month.
All hardware certification is closed for STS-100 (6A). There are 17 hardware certification items open for STS-104 (7A), all in work. There are 10 open hardware certifications for STS-105 (7A.1); ship date for the LTA Cable Bags are now 4/23/01.

- Safety Tether Materials Findings — EC5/Lucie Johannes
A status was presented on FIAR JSCEC850F, which was written against two STS-97 safety tethers (SEG331066740303, S/N’s 1007 and 1008) for discoloration/contamination of the load alleviator strap and discoloration of anodized aluminum parts of tether hooks. The cause was attributed to possible degradation of the load alleviating tether’s load and life. Testing has been performed on the Teflon. After materials testing was performed discoloration was found to be from UV exposure with no degradation of the internal Nomex webbing. Load test shows integrity of Nomex.
Safety tethers S/N’s 1007 and 1008 cannot fly until the load alleviators are replaced and Teflon’s ability as a protective layer is verified. Options for resolving the issue are to replace both straps and reduce cert life of the load alleviator design, if required. The original FIAR associated with this issue was reported to be closed.
- H7157 — On-Orbit EMU Stowage Equipment List — HSMS/Sandy Anderson
This CCBD establishes the On-Orbit EMU Stowage Equipment List and reflects all EMU hardware left on ISS as of STS-102 (5A.1).
Decision: Approve.

- Walk-on: H7138F — Middeck EMU Battery Charger, ISS Certification and Production of Additional Flight Unit to Support STS-109 (HST-03B) — USA/Chris Golden
This CCBD requests updating top assembly drawing SV767730-11 to remove Betadine ointment from the Shuttle Service and Cooling Umbilical, adding a note to keep the Item 423 Bacteria Cartridge visually centered when assembling into the Item 424 Water Filter, and updating FEMU-R-001, Section 7.2.6.1 Special Processing Instructions. This is a result of contamination found upon routine post STS-92 inspection of PLSS 1005. The contamination was found to be primarily polyethylene glycol and Povidone Iodine, which makes up Betadine Ointment. The Betadine Ointment was introduced to the water loop through a cut o-ring and insertion of the supply side Item 424 Potable Water Filter into the half water filled Item 416 Bacteria Filter chamber. The cut o-ring allowed water to dissolve the Betadine Ointment into the cooling water loop. If this CCBD is not incorporated, conditions will exist to eventually degrade sublimator performance due to the possible release of Betadine Ointment into the water cooling loop from the SCU assembly.
Decision: Approve.
This CCBD requests processing a Type A TPS to install Small Boot Toe Spacers in one pair of Small Boot TMG’s to support STS-104 (7A) as well as processing a Type A TPS to install Small Boot Toe Spacers in one pair of Small Boot TMG’s to support STS-108 (UF1). The contractor will supply a revision to the Acceptability for Use Memo as rationale to use the modified toe spacer for flight to be provided to XA on or before 4/30/01.
Decision: Approve.
This CCBD requests the -5 Middeck Battery Charger be certified for the new SV819600 battery and ISS use. It also requests a ROM for fabrication of an additional flight unit for STS-109.
Decision: Redline and route for technical concurrence.
