SATOPS MORNING REPORT – March 9, 2001

POES
No change in the status of the POES spacecraft.

Cold Calibration Position 4 was selected for NOAA-16’s AMSU-A1 and AMSU-A2
instruments as the calibration target. Cold Calibration Position 1 will be
selected on Monday, March 12, to return the instruments to their pre-test
configuration. Questions regarding this test should be referred to Dong Han at
Dong.Han@noaa.gov.

POES operations were nominal over the past 24 hours.

DMSP

No change in the status of the DMSP spacecraft.

DMSP operations were nominal over the past 24 hours.

GOES

No change in the status of the GOES spacecraft.

All eclipse operations nominal.

Today is the last day of the three-day GOES-M launch simulation. Sim
activities (launch and orbit raining events) have been successful.

At 2133Z on March 8, a GOES-10 frame break was observed and attributed to
solar RFI.

to identify images canceled to satisfy eclipse or instrument keep-out-zone (KOZ)
