SATOPS MORNING REPORT – February 21, 2001
POES
No change in the status of the POES spacecraft.
NOAA-14 rev 31670 / W at 1938Z on February 20: Ran CP SEM_TED_LEVEL3
to reconfigure the Total Energy Detector as per procedure.
NOAA-M End-to-End (ETE) Test #2 with the NOAA-M spacecraft at Sunnyvale
is scheduled for February 22. A dry-run with the simulator in Sunnyvale
is proceeding today.
The NOAA-16 VTX2 APT transmitter will be turned off due to a NOAA-12
VHF conflict via the stored table on February 27 at 1700Z.
POES operations were nominal over the past 24 hours.
DMSP
No change in the status of the DMSP spacecraft.
DMSP operations were nominal over the past 24 hours.
GOES
No change in the status of the GOES spacecraft.
At 1301Z on February 20, a GOES-8 frame break was observed and attributed
to an IPS memory reset.
A GOES-10 East-West station keeping maneuver was successfully performed
on February 21 at 1203Z. GOES-10 imaging resumed at 1329Z.
The first formal simulation of GOES-M launch and orbit raising activities
started this morning. The simulation will be a 3-day internal simulation
with anomalies. Other launch readiness activities continue on schedule
for an anticipated mid-July launch.
GOES operations were nominal over the past 24 hours.
