MISSION: STS-92 – 5th ISS Flight (3A) – Z-1 Truss, PMA-3

LOCATION: Launch Pad 39A

TARGET KSC LAUNCH DATE/TIME: Oct. 5, 2000 at about 9:38 p.m. EDT

TARGET KSC LANDING DATE/TIME: Oct. 16, 2000 at about 4:50 p.m.

LAUNCH WINDOW: No more than 5 minutes

MISSION DURATION: 11 days

CREW: Duffy, Melroy, Wakata, Chiao, Wisoff, Lopez-Alegria, McArthur

ORBITAL ALTITUDE and INCLINATION: 177 nautical miles/51.6 degrees

Shuttle Processing Note: Shuttle managers today announced Oct. 5 as the
official launch date for Space Shuttle Discovery on mission STS-92. The
announcement followed the standard Flight Readiness Review held at KSC
throughout most of the day.

At the launch pad, work continues to prepare Discovery for liftoff.
Technicians completed Shuttle ordnance installation yesterday, and the main
engine flight readiness test is ongoing. Orbiter aft compartment close-outs
are under way and will continue through Saturday evening. Over the weekend,
workers will install and checkout the space suits. Flight crew equipment
installation begins Sunday.

MISSION: STS-97 – 6th ISS Flight (4A) – PV Module P6

VEHICLE: Endeavour/OV-105

LOCATION: OPF bay 2

TARGET KSC LAUNCH DATE/TIME: Nov. 30, 2000 at 10:01 p.m.

TARGET KSC LANDING DATE/TIME: Dec.10, 2000

MISSION DURATION: 10 days

CREW: Jett, Bloomfield, Tanner, Noriega, Garneau

ORBITAL ALTITUDE and INCLINATION: 177 nautical miles/51.6 degrees

Shuttle Processing Note: Technicians have complete engine heat shield
installation. Work continues to close-out the orbiter’s payload bay.
Workers are preparing for the integrated hydraulic and flight control test.

MISSION: STS-98 – 7th ISS Flight (5A) – U.S. Laboratory

VEHICLE: Atlantis/OV-104

LOCATION: Orbiter Processing Facility (OPF) bay 3

TARGET KSC LAUNCH DATE/TIME: Jan.18, 2001 at 3:36 a.m. EDT

TARGET KSC LANDING DATE/TIME: Jan. 28, 2001

MISSION DURATION: 10 days

CREW: Cockrell, Polansky, Curbeam, Jones, Ivins

ORBITAL ALTITUDE and INCLINATION: 173 nautical miles/51.6 degrees

Shuttle Processing Note: STS-106 payload removal is complete. The Shuttle
main engine heat shields have been removed and engine removal is now under
way. Technicians are also preparing for routine tests on the forward
reaction control system.
