SATOPS MORNING REPORT – August 31, 2000
DMSP
On Wednesday, August 30, at 18:48Z, the last command (turning off the
telemetry transmitter) was sent to OPS 46 (F11). All operations related
to OPS-46 deactivation occurred as planned.
DMSP operations were nominal over the past 24 hours.
POES
No change in the status of the POES spacecraft.
POES operations were nominal over the past 24 hours.
GOES
The GOES-8 0044Z N. HEMI and 0045Z sounding were missed due to
an SPS problem at CDA. Software was subsequently recycled and operations
returned to normal.
GOES-8 images cancelled for Eclipse/KOZ – 0415, 0431, 0439, 0445, 0501,
0509, 0515, 0531, 0539 and 0545Z.
GOES-8 soundings cancelled for Eclipse/KOZ – 0420, 0446, 0520, 0546
and 0620Z.
At 0753Z on Thursday, August 31, a GOES-10 frame break was observed
and attributed to loss of signal synchronization.
GOES-10 images cancelled for KOZ/Eclipse: 0815Z, 0830Z, 0845Z, 0900Z,
0930Z.
GOES-10 soundings cancelled for KOZ/Eclipse: 0824Z, 0901Z, 0924Z.
GOES operations were nominal over the past 24 hours.
