NOAA GOES SATOPS Morning Report 11 August 2000
SATOPS MORNING REPORT – August 11, 2000
GOES
No change in the status of the GOES spacecraft.
GOES-8 rapid scan operations were activated from 1426Z to 2326Z to monitor
tropical depression near Bahamas.
GOES-10 imager Image Motion Compensation (IMC) was turned off from 1410Z
to 1550Z in an effort to support NWS analysis. The test allowed the
user community to assess their systems capability to process the images
without the IMC function. The test also included GOES-11 imager IMC
turn off from 1411Z to 1611Z.
POES
No change in the status of the POES spacecraft.
NOAA-14 rev 28929, L2B data was lost due to no frame sync lock.
NOAA-15 rev 11666, IMUX recorder failure with G5B and G3A 100% recovered.
NOAA-11 rev 61260, S1A and S3B were lost due IMUX problem.
DMSP
No change in the status of the DMSP spacecraft.
DMSP operations were nominal over the past 24 hours.
