SATOPS MORNING REPORT – August 9, 2000
GOES
No change in the status of the GOES spacecraft.
GOES-8 super rapid scan operations were approved from 1743Z to 2043Z
for
CIRA hurricane coverage.
GOES-8 No imaging or sounding from 1715Z through 1814Z due to
E/W maneuver.
Maneuver nominal.
GOES-10 Northern Hemi missed at 1529Z due to COMM 5 failure at CDA.
GOES-10 North Pacific sounding lost at 0324Z due to primary ground command
transmitter failure.
GOES-11 science test super rapid scan operations approved for 221/1643Z
–
222/1243Z. Location 38N & 86W.
POES
No change in the status of the POES spacecraft.
NOAA-12 began sending GAC data to CEMSCS at 1600Z.
NOAA-15 rev 11632, G4B early playback, 76.1% received. All data
recovered
on rev 11639.
NOAA-15 rev 11639, no HRPT for first 6.5 minutes due to database change.
NOAA-L WR NASA TM orbit one simulation cancelled due to scheduling conflict.
DMSP
No change in the status of the DMSP spacecraft.
DMSP operations were nominal over the past 24 hours.
OPS46 conducted end of life cone cooler heater test.
