NASA is extending the deadline for U.S citizens and permanent residents to register for the NASA SLPSRA Fluid Physics Workshop until September 27, 2019. Note that for foreign nationals, workshop registration will close on September 6, 2019.

In order to facilitate the workshop, we encourage you to submit a response to the NASA request for information (RFI). The deadline for the RFI has also been extended to September 27, 2019, 11:59 PM ET. The full RFI and submission instructions can be found at https://tinyurl.com/NASA-RFI-NNH19ZTT003L.

The NASA SLPSRA Fluid Physics Workshop will be held at the Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio, October 16-17, 2019. This event will bring together scientists and engineers from academia, industry, and other government agencies to provide recommendations to NASA on exploration-related microgravity challenges in multiphase systems and thermal transport processes. The president’s space policy directive on reinvigorating America’s Human Space Exploration Program for the United States calls for leading the return of humans to the Moon for long-term exploration and utilization, followed by human missions to Mars and other destinations. In response, this event will address areas that enable human expansion across the solar system. Potential topics of interest for the workshop include:

                     Water Recovery

                     Heat Pipes

Boiling and Condensation (as it applies to space power, cryogenic propellant, and thermal control)

All interested scientists, researchers and managers are invited to participate. More information about the workshop, registration, and contact details can be found at the website: http://icpi.nasaprs.com/SLPSRAFluidPhysics2019.
