The new program element C.29 Astrodynamics in Support of Icy Worlds Missions solicits the formulation, maturation, and validation of promising astrodynamics analysis tools. The development of these open-source codes has the potential to uncover new mission concepts, motivate entirely new classes of missions that may not have been previously considered, improve the efficiency of missions, and extend mission life. Science missions to icy moons orbiting the solar system’s Giant Planets are of particular interest to NASA.

Step-1 proposals are due January 18, 2019 and Step-2 proposals are due March 15, 2019.

On or about December 11, 2018, this Amendment to the NASA Research Announcement “Research Opportunities in Space and Earth Sciences (ROSES) 2018” (NNH18ZDA001N) will be posted on the NASA research opportunity homepage at http://nspires.nasaprs.com/ and will appear on the RSS feed at: https://science.nasa.gov/researchers/sara/grant-solicitations/roses-2018/
