TeamIndus is taking students along for the moonshot!
TeamIndus, the one and only company from India attempting the audacious #moonshot GLXP competition launched a global challenge for youth to send a science experiment to the Moon!
The challenge mirrors TeamIndus’ own journey through the GLXP competition and gives a never before available opportunity to youngsters between the ages of 14-25 to send their experiment payload along with the TeamIndus rocket to the moon. As part of Lab2Moon, participants have to imagine, design and build a project that would catalyse the evolution of mankind as a multi-planetary species.
Today, TeamIndus has an update on the competition (press note and related Infographic). We have finalized an eminent international jury panel to judge the entries:
· Dr. K. Kasturirangan, Former Chairman of Indian Space Research Organisation,
· Dr. Alain Bensoussan, Former President of CNES (French Space Agency) and Former Chairman of Council, ESA (European Space Agency) and
· Dr. Joe Pelton, Former Dean of the International Space University (ISU)
Over 200 teams have signed up including teams from Germany, Italy, Peru, Mexico, Singapore, India and other countries. The final results of the competition will be announced on Feb 14, 2017 following which TeamIndus will help the student winners qualify the experiment for its lunar journey.
Hope you will be able to feature this update on your site. In case, you are looking to do a large piece, we will be happy to connect you with some of the students who have submitted entries, and TeamIndus leaders of course.
