Description

NASA/Ames Research Center (ARC) intends to extend contract NNA10DE12C, Space Technology Research and Development (STRAD) with ERC, Inc. on a sole source basis pursuant to 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1), and FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements.

The period of performance will be extended for up to six (6) months, consisting of two (2) month base and four (4) one-month options. The period of performance will be extended from April 1, 2015 through September 30, 2015, if all one-month option periods are exercised. The extension will not increase the current contract value.

The purpose of the extension is to continue to provide critical on-going task order requirements to support the Office of the Director of Technology during the completion of the Entry Systems Technology Research and Development (ESTRAD) follow-on procurement. The current contractor, ERC, Inc., is considered the only contractor that can support the NASA/ARC’s requirements under contract NNA10DE12C given the extension’s short period of performance.
