ULA Atlas V RBSP – Launch Set for Aug. 24, 4:07 a.m. EDT
The Launch Readiness Review was completed today in preparation for NASA’s Atlas V RBSP launch set for Friday, Aug. 24 from Space Launch Complex 41 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida. The launch window opens at 4:07 a.m. EDT and extends for 20 minutes. Today’s L-3 forecast continues to show a 60 percent chance of favorable weather conditions for launch.
Please note time changes for both the vehicle rollout photo opportunity tomorrow morning and the remote camera set up time.
L-2: Wednesday, Aug. 22
* 7 a.m.: Media arrive at the KSC News Center for transportation to view the rollout of the Atlas V rocket to the launch pad
* 8 a.m.: Atlas V rolls out to Space Launch Complex 41
* 11:15 a.m.: Remote camera photographers meet at the KSC News Center to be escorted to Space Launch Complex 41 to set up cameras
L-0: Friday, Aug. 24
* 1:30 a.m.: Live commentary will begin on NASA Television
* 4:07 a.m.: Opening of the launch window
