NRC Report Evaluates NASA’s Aeronautics Flight Research Capabilities

A new National Research Council report, Recapturing NASA’s Aeronautics Flight Research Capabilities, considers how NASA aeronautics can maintain a robust flight research program within a limited budget. The report identifies goals and challenges in the program that are impaired by an anticipated lack of flight research capability and recommends how the agency can best integrate flight research into its Aeronautics Research Mission Directorate’s fundamental activities.
