Description
NASA/JSC plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP)for the following Commercial item/services:
* Aviation weather briefings for international flights including but not limited to Europe, Asia, and South America
* International flight support including airport handling, catering, diplomatic permit services, and fuel contract arrangements
* Datalink flight plans and oceanic clearances accessible by NASA aircraft in-flight
* Provide and file computerized flight plans for international flights
* Current navigational charts and approach plates for the deployment in trip-kit form
These services will be provided on an as-ordered basis and the cost for these services will be paid for on an as-used basis.
NASA/JSC Aircraft Operations Division operates a fleet of aircraft, currently including 21 T-38s, one G1159A, one C-9B, one 747, one Super Guppy Transport, and two WB-57Fs. JSC may add or remove aircraft during the contract period of performance. JSC aircrews may require support for 10 to 30 international missions on an annual basis.
The base period of performance will be one year starting November 1, 2011 through October 31, 2012, with two one-year options, November 1, 2012 through October 31, 2013, and November 1, 2013 through October 31, 2014.
The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 541990 and $7,000,000 in average annual receipts, respectively.
The anticipated release date of RFP NUMBER NNJ11405849R is on or about September 19, 2011 with an anticipated proposal due date of on or about October 11, 2011. This commercial item/service was previously synopsized as solicitation number NNJ11396702L. NNJ11396702L is replaced by NNJ11405849R.
All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency.
