DOY 234
At approximately 1152z on Aug 22, one Power Distribution Unit (PDU)exceeded capacity at NSOF and shut down. When re-powered, the PDU was at 99% capacity, so operations for GOES, POES, and DMSP were failed over to alternate sites to avoid data loss. Jason-2 operations were adversely affected by the PDU overload. Non-essential equipment was powered down to reduce the PDU load to <85% at approx. 1211z. Investigation into the underlying cause of the PDU overload is underway.
